HOSTEL FACILITIES
Sylhet women’s medical college provides separate 10 stored hostel building for the students .Students live outside the city are eligible for hostel accommodation .Each room is shared by four students .Rooms are pretty big , well ventilated with an attached clean and sanitized wash room . Each student will get one bed with mattress, one closet, ceiling fan, light, one table and chair.
The hostel has common room with indoor games facilities ,TV room ,reading room , fridge , dining hall , electricity with 24hours generator connection.CC cameras for security purpose are installed .Hostel office assistant , MLSS security guard ,cook ,clearer are appointed for look after the students .A warden an assistant warden residence are also in the hostel for day to day management.
For admission in the hostel, legal guardian of student would apply after full payment. Two copies of passport size photo of students, guardian and visitors, photocopy of NID card of legal guardian are required during admission. The hostel resident must abide the hostel rules and regulation which is printed in on booklet which should be densely signed by the student and legal guardian.
The total cost of the hostel resident is quite less considering the facilities provided by the institute .The food of the hostel mess is pretty decent and cheap too. Residents of hostel can go outside of hostel after taking permission from hostel authority. Within 5.30pm residents of hostel should come back hostel. Resident cannot stay outside of hostel at night proper permission.
